Bill Saunders Memorial Scholarship
History
The Bill Saunders Memorial Scholarship supports 12 scholars across three different campuses at the University of Minnesota, including Rochester, Duluth and the Twin Cities. This scholarship lifts financial burden and gives our scholars a chance to pursue their academic dreams.
Our scholars are academically gifted, are from our community, and all understand the importance of giving back, investing their own time in community-based volunteering. These scholars face significant financial need, often combined with other factors or barriers they've needed to overcome in their lives.
The future.
Our scholars have a 100% retention and graduation rate. 2020 marked our first 2 graduates; and this academic year (2020 - 2021) marks the 5-year milestone of our partnership. We are committed to the continued success of all of our scholars.
